Group NBT is headquartered in London, and currently serves a global clientele including the FTSE 100. Established in 1995, the company has registered domain names across the globe, hosts thousands of websites and has a clientele of many worldwide brands.

Group NBT has over 350 employees world-wide, with offices in London, Copenhagen, Munich, New York, Nice, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Zurich, and Cambridge. 

Group NBT started life as NetBenefit plc in 1995 to provide services to users of the Internet, registering and renewing domain names and providing hosting for websites. As part of the Company’s focus on the corporate market, NetNames was acquired in 1999. NetNames had concentrated on helping companies to manage their growing portfolios of domain names and has a growing customer base in Europe and the US.

Following the acquisition of Easily.co.uk in 2004, the Company became Group NBT. The name was changed to reflect the growing business operations through the three trading brands at the time - NetNames, NetBenefit and Easily.co.uk. The Group later acquired Ascio Technologies and Speednames in January 2007, Envisional Ltd in 2007 and Indom in December 2010. In November 2011, Group NBT was acquired by the private equity company, HgCapital.

Group NBT has continued to grow both organically and through acquisitions to become one of the leading providers of services to users of the Internet.
